The story of Blue Water Seafood Company starts with Tracy and David Griffin. In their former lives, Tracy was a middle school teacher and David was a police officer in Charlotte.
Chance or perhaps destiny brought the two together. Love and marriage followed in short order. Chance or perhaps destiny struck again as the couple had the opportunity to buy the seafood market. The Griffins decided to move the restaurant a few blocks away from it’s original location nestled in Hendersonville to a 1920’s home. The Griffins rolled up their sleeves and renovated this former residence. With the help of their friends and family, they turned the former home into an awe inspiring seafood and wine market. The café portion of the building has a colorful atmosphere with an intimate ambiance.
Tracy and David Griffin have been living their dream at Blue Water Seafood since 2003. The people of Hendersonville are considered family to the Griffins. It is a dream they continue to work hard for and it is a dream that they would not trade for anything. As Tracy states “It takes 22 hours a day and 7 days a week for us to function with our business, but it also takes the love and devotion of our family.” The Griffins and their staff truly do pass on their love and devotion to every patron that walks through the door at the Blue Water Seafood Company and Wine Market.
